It's almost here

With just over a week until Ironman CDA, I'm beginning to get a little restless. One part anxious, one part achy, and three parts ready!

I haven't raced a Iron distance race this early in the season in a long time, and it's amazing how little doubts try and sneak in your head..... Did you train enough? Did you rest enough? Is your nutrition dialed in? What cassette are you going to ride with? Is the course really as hilly as it seems on the Computrainer? What is the weather going to be like race day? I heard the water is in the upper 50's right now, do I need a neoprene cap? What am I going to put in my special needs bags? Fuel belt or no fuel belt on the run? I'm getting really hungry, but don't want to add extra weight! My homework is keeping me up late, so am I getting enough rest? Is there a way to get a 20 or 30 min nap in during the day some how? Questions.......Questions.........and more Questions......


Ryan, just breathe! You've put in the training. It's banked. Relax. Breathe. Enjoy life. Follow the plans that you've been doing--they work. Breathe......now get your ass to bed!
